Study Focus:
Pneumococcus (pneumonia) vaccine

Intramuscular

Eligibility Requirements:
• Males and females aged 50 to 69 years
• Must be in good general health
• Stable medical conditions may be permitted
• Some medications can be taken during this study
• No other vaccines received within 28 days of participating in this study
• Light smokers allowed
• Suitable for vegetarians/vegans
• Must not have participated in another trial within the past 1 month

Visit Schedule:
Screening + 7 visits
• Screening visit (2-3 hours), within 45 days of the study treatment
• Day 1 visit (approximately 7 hours)
• Day 8 and Day 15 follow-up visit (approximately 1 hour)
• Day 29 visit (approximately 7 hours)
• Day 36 and Day 43 follow-up visit (approximately 1 hour)
• Day 57 end of study visit (approximately 1 hour)
